I could not agree more! One thing I would like to mention is that all developers and managers should take the time to read Karl Fogel's "Producing Open Source Software" if you haven't already. ;) The book is worth it's weight in gold to any open source project, and the concepts are very very well explained by Fogel, one of the Subversion developers amongst other credits. He covers all facets of open source management and the development process.
