TG uses cheetah for its quick-start templates so you need it. you should try to download and install from here: for windows: http://files.turbogears.org/eggs/Cheetah-2.0rc8-py2.5-win32.egg for linux: http://files.turbogears.org/eggs/Cheetah-2.0rc8-py2.5-linux-i686.egg for mac osx: http://files.turbogears.org/eggs/Cheetah-2.0rc8-py2.5-macosx-10.3-fat.egg I just added the precompiled version for linux (sorry i686 minimum) so just relaunching the install procedure should work fine now.
