This is an highly appreciated change, dotted template name resolution makes jinja usage more coherent with the other template engines.
About the quickstart I think we should start thinking a way to make it more modular, having to make a new framework release each time a new set of configuration rules is available isn't really the best way to tackle the issue. PasteScript Template support makes possible to create templates outside tg.devtools, but doesn't make really convenient or easy to reuse pieces of the basic quickstart template.
