good point! the only question left is:
do we want to impliment this before 1.5.1 (which is 99% ready) or wait for 1.5.2 for this? I'll let you guys decide this, since I am happy either way. There have already been several large changes for 1.5.1 done in CVS... Window Mode is safer on some OSes than Fullscreen Mode.. Commandline options should have a higher priority then the settings file. I've actually gotten to the point where I personally loath apps that start up in fullscreen mode (personally, I still see the benefit in a classroom environment) and I'd like to be able to set that and have it stay. > i think we should add an options screen to toggle between the two. > > as well as the ability to save settings like langauge setting > > ja > > -----Original Message----- > From: Calvin Arndt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Date: Thu, 5 Jun 2003 20:28:10 -0500 > Subject: Re: [Tuxtype-dev] Windows: Windowed Mode, Linux: Fullscreen Mode > > > > I tested Tuxtype2 a lot under Windows and Linux, Fullscreen and Window > > Mode without Problems. > > I allmost allways compile TT2 fullscreen on windows the only reason that I didn't do > it this time in my mingw compile is due to one of my workers, John, who's pc took a lightning strike. In the end he was left with an empty can (the pc) and a monitor that NOW refuses to do 640x480! Since John and his grandaughter do alot of testing for me and I only had time to do one, I left it windowed. The lines in main.c that you refered to are relic of the old days (apparently Sam got a bunch of email).
