Well, McCain's Liddy connection has been thrown around in a lot of
liberal circles ever since Palin started with the Ayers smearing, and
a lot of people have been begging Obama to bring it out himself. It
may not seem like the most current thing to bring up (but again, it is
more current than Ayers) but I know that 90% of hard core democrats
would have brought it up if they had 20 minutes to question McCain, so
I thought that was interesting. I never thought Dave was really
plugged into the democratic pipeline - his description of himself as a
registered independent sounds about right - but for this interview it
seemed he had been prepped by his old friend Al Franken.
