Not that I'm aware of for the role of The Doctor specifically, but RTD did something like that before with Freema Agyeman, who played some minor character in "Army of Ghosts" before becoming Martha.
Recycling actors seems to be pretty common across sci-fi franchises in general, as well, so I wouldn't be surprised.
