And with some kind of internal logic and/or attention to continuity
(or were they inside jokes?), it was implied in later episodes that
Eve's "Torchwood" character was a descendent of her Victorian-era
"Who" character - and (if I'm not mistaken) that Freema's Martha Jones
had a relative (a cousin?) in the Torchwood organization who was
involved in the earlier Who-jinks.
