Representatives of the major public networks, along with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the PTV stations group, call on the President-elect to include in his economic stimulus package support for stations in financial trouble, along with a "super-high- speed" connection for not-for-profits, an archive of "historically significant" pubcasters' programs, a pre-school education program, a "crisis response" programming initiative for stations and a campaign to expand media access to "new voices" (citing new Native American public radio stations that have gone on the year recently):
