Yes - that was what was interesting. Patterson came down pretty hard
on them for it, and not only did they not apologize, they did it
again. I don't share your "unfunny crap" evaluation (though unfunny
crap on SNL is  hardly be news, and if the NY Governor wanted to give
a speech about every unfunny segment on SNL he will have to schedule
several hours every week ) but I didn't think it was particularly
funny. OTOH, I didn't think it was over the line to make fun of a
blind guy (particularly a blind governor of the biggest state in the
US), and I did not like that governor trying to influence what SNL
did.

I did like Martin's banjo set (I wish they had just used it as the
second musical number, since that thing they used instead gave me
cavities).
