This does raise an issue, though. Is there backlash about SNL's sound
quality -- which didn't seem to affect, say, Kings of Leon earlier in the
season -- because of the studio's acoustics, or because the performance by
the *Great Brooklyn Hipster Hope* that is TV on the Radio just wasn't up to
expectations?

I do like the band, by the way, but thought after watching both performances
Saturday that acoustics weren't the issue.  But I'm no expert on how
Toscanini's acoustical needs differ from the kids today.
