I called an automated phone number to order one of those blankets (and get a free one) for Mother Jersey, and I swear, they throw at least three other offers of generally useless products or services at you to Press 1 NOW! if you'd like to buy them, and repeat each offer THREE frickin' times!
"We're very disappointed that you didn't want this great offer!" I'm imagining nobody wanted to actually staff the phones to give them, so a computer server was drafted for the job.
