Three things keep gnawing at me: 1) What is going to change so that the people who were oblivious or resistant to the Feb change date be all of a sudden motivated to do the necessary for June? Won't there still be "millions" of households in the same spot they're in now? 2) Is the June date simply to allow for previously issued but unused $40 coupons to expire so that the money can be reallocated to new ones? 3) And about those coupons, I have yet to see a $40 converter box -- with the overwhelming majority priced at $60 dollars. Considering the expense of actually making them, isn't the extra $20 price-gouging the public to fix a problem where the government is the cause, and therefore should cover 100% of the cost? (I know this is debatable).
