IIRC, Dish Network is selling converter boxes for $40 on the nose.
And even though they're being made for their subscribers who have to
use rabbit ears to pick up some local signals, they're supposedly
selling them to anyone who wants to put down the money or the coupon.

And the FCC has turned down some of the requests to shut off the
analog on Feb. 17 (doesn't say who or where in the PDF, though):
