He did say "dial carefully America" with arched eyebrows right after he gave the unusual number. This thread is unleashing a flood of AI frustration that I have been sitting on (now half way through my third AI experience). My first question is who exactly does Michael Jackson have to screw to keep him from being "idolized"? Is next week going to be OJ Simpson week on Idol? And pity the poor singers who, when required to pick an MJ song, are then criticized for having made a lightweight selection (as opposed to all of the profoundly complex MJ songs out there?). The three old judges have a certain campy appeal; the act is tired and worn and only ever had a very narrow range of appeal, but I can get it at a certain level. That new chick has no campy appeal - she is just 100% obnoxious. If I were in high school with those four people, I could see myself hanging out on occasion with the other three judges, in the way that you do (I went to a small high school) when you are stuck with people for a long time and try to make the best of it by accepting their eccentricies and irritations. I could not make myself spend a minute more than required with the new chick. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ TV or Not TV .... Smart (TV) People on Ice!
