It's not a function of the set. The monologue space may be small, but its not much smaller than Conan's or Dave's, if you cut there's at the screen. The monologue looks to be 2 inches from the camera because Craig is a close monologist. He freaking broke the camera on May 8 with one of his playful slaps.
