Did you make it to the "man on the street" episode that was supposedly
the deal-maker on "Dollhouse?" I was not that impressed--in fact, I
enjoyed a few of those stand-alones that the Whedies decried as
capitulating to Fox. (This was my first attempt at a Whedon show--in
fact, I used to love going on the EW proto-blogs and mocking the
Whedies, decrying them as AOL Time Warner tools and saying things like
"singing frogs and quality television don't mix.")
The ultimate problem with the show for me is that yeah, Eliza Dushku's
pretty, but she's not a good actress--and she's supposed to carry this
show. For that alone, I was disappointed, although I'll leave it on
my DVR for this season.
