I think ITV is technically the producer of the US version with NBC/ Uni, so it makes sense that they'd bring the experienced presenter over - especially given the live nature of the show. I think it's odd that Clarkson is included on the list, considering how much revenue Top Gear brings in to the Beeb (and BBC Worldwide).
