It takes me longer to type a short message to my daughter on my cell phone than it would to type a full paragraph or two of email from my computer - but if I want to get her attention and ensure that she responds to me, nothing is more effective than that stupid phone text. I guess that is one reason this twitter is popular with the young people -they have gotten use to communicating in those short, cryptic bursts.
