A list of the non-professionals who Dave put on the air whose talent
wasn't commensurate with their screen time and who looked
uncomfortable would fill a phone book.

None of us is in a position to know if that was the reason she got
screen time (I'd doubt it). My feeling is that her lack of comfort and
stiffness was precisely the reason she got so much screen time; Dave
loves nothing more than wasting valuable network airtime and/or
subverting the cliches of the "talk show" -- or used to, anyway.

My mileage varies wildly. To criticize Stephanie for "not belonging on
television" and lauding Ross is the height of bafflement to me. I'd
rather chew ground glass than endure 30 seconds of Ross.

Or, it could just be that she was in law school and didn't have time
to appear on the show any more.

I agree Dave probably showed bad judgment, but don't make Stephanie
the victim here.
