No warning. I was watching a channel, and then I was watching a
different channel.

Another Stupid DVR Trick: Last Friday, the box failed to record SGU
and Monk. The recording log offered its usual useless explanation.
I've learned that when malfunctions start to accrue, a manual reboot
is often the solution, so I did that on Saturday morning. After that,
I ordinarily get at least a couple of weeks of normal [sic] operation.
But then I got home on Monday evening to find that, while both shows
were programmed, Heroes was recording and House was not. So I had my
first experience with "play from beginning." Screwed up my evening
viewing plan, but at least I didn't have to wait eight days to see
House online.
