While over at TV By The Numbers today I noticed their article( http://tvbythenumbers.com/2009/11/20/fringe-and-flashforward-fans-enjoy-them-while-they-last/34220) explaining that these two programs are in trouble.
My own enjoyment of these programs has been trending in opposite directions; I was mostly frustrated with Fringe last season, but the end of the season got better, and this year has been okay to good. Flashforward on the other hand started out great and has been gradually spiraling down. I still like it (it is one of the few shows I try to watch the same night it airs) but I have given up on the original hopes for greatness. TVBTN seems to think both shows will finish out the season, but are unlikely to be renewed for another season. This would not bother me too much for Flashforward - this should probably have been envisioned as a one season show anyway, and it would be better if they just focused on telling this story rather than trying to make us like characters that are not really developed enough to sustain it anyway. I have gotten to the point where I would like to see Fringe continue - TVBTN suggests that it might have a chance to get renewed if Fox moves it to a different night - I guess I will hope for that. -- TV or Not TV ....
