In my earlier posts I complained about "bimbos and mimbos" on these shows - perhaps the Seinfeld reference was a bit obscure - a "Mimbo" is a male "Bimbo". I don't think I have written anything here to suggest that the female stars are more empty headed or vapid than the male ones - I believe you will see that I gave an example of both a male and a female celebrity that did not interest me. In previous lists of guests on Dave's show that I prefer, I think women typically prominant (Julia Roberts, Bonnie Hunt, Amy Sedaris, going back further Connie Chung and Terri Garr). I am wondering what in this thread has set off your alarm bells. I will disagree though with your claim that "there are just as many empty-headed male late nite guests as female". Starlets are more common on the late show circuit than callow youths, not because women are more vapid than men, but because the bookers at these shows think that the audience likes looking at vapid young women more than vapid young men (and, I guess if your interest in what these young women are wearing, and my admitted occasional interest in what might be revealed beneath what they are wearing, is any gauge, they are probably right. Certainly if you put a gun to my head I would probably rather look at a pretty young woman than Jack Black for 6 minutes). -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
