Comcast is a partner with ESPN 360 and I've never been able to have a
video load there. So maybe that won't serve as a solution. What ESPN
does well (and CBS Sports) online is a Game Center box where you can
track games live. One of my gripes with NBC coverage is that they
aren't putting up real time updates of events in progress. CTV's
website and Yahoo Sports don't seem to be much better. When I've
looked for score updates for hockey games that started at midnight ET,
I found the easiest way has been to go to the streaming sites, load a
live feed for 30 seconds and get the score there.

What really bugs me about NBC is their vigilance about making sure
nobody can use their video. Olympic hockey has been big news in
Pittsburgh with 5 of the Penguins (and many more ex-Penguins) playing
for various teams in the tournament. Local TV news covers it but they
can't show highlights of the day's games. The NHL encourages fans to
put videos of their games on YouTube; NBC pulls Olympic footage off
ASAP. I don't know how much more open ESPN would be about highlights
and other footage, but it would have to be better than NBC.
