Anyone remember "Nightlife with David Brenner" (1986-87)? David wore a different sweatshirt every night. It was a gimmick to try to make the 50-year-old host look like a hipster, and even Brenner got tired of it. I remember reading once that he was interviewing Jane Seymour, who had just written a book about romance, and suddenly Brenner said something like "We're talking about romance, and I'm dressed like I've come to fix your sink." -Tim -- TV or Not TV ....
