**Finke is saying this about the location and the money: "We've confirmed
that Conan does own his new late night talk show on TBS, and it will be Los
Angeles-based ("he's not moving his kids again"), and the deal is "very
long-term" paying him $10+ million in upfront salary (in addition to his
profitable equity)."I have never seen the Lopez show and only watch TBS for the baseball these days, but I am not sure about all of the cynicism about the network. Lopez seems to have been pretty successful, and their syndicated sitcoms do well in the ratings. Conan will probably beat Stewart and Colbert (what are that woman's ratings like, and what station is she on?) and be the most popular talk show on cable, as opposed to ther 3rd (or 4th) place talk show on broadcast. Not too shabby.
