While I've not been, everyone I know who's been to Glacier has raved about the
place. You may wish to have more time available to see the park.

Marquette, MI was profiled in the Sunday Washington Post -
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/06/24/AR2010062405562.html.

If you happen across a MacKenzie River Pizza Co. establishment while in Montana
(definitely in Billings, probably in Great Falls), it's worth stopping in for a
pie.

East of Billings, MT there is some kind of rock (Pompey's Pillar) where Clark
(of Lewis and Clark) started the grand tradition of graffiti in the Western U.S.

Subject: [TV orNotTV] OT: road trip - sight suggestions?

ok, here goes my usual "got any travel tips?" question

This summer our vacation includes a drive from Ontario (via Sault Ste Marie,
Michigan) to British Columbia. Most travel is in your USA. Overnights are
planned in Marquete (MI), then Bismarck (ND), then East Glacier National Park
(MT) (via Great Falls), then Sandpoint, ID, then into Penticton (BC). Highway
is generally I-94 and then to Hwy 2. Yes, we know some days are long drives,
and some are short :-)

So, what are the cool interesting places to stop? Or what websites should I
look at?

- largest potato?
- largest toenail clipper?
- largest Hoe (corner gas: an old dirty cracked hoe)

Too bad Tom isn't around to comment. I recall that ND/SD was his area.
