I haven't watched the episode yet (still sitting on the DVR) but the
pilot for "LAX" actually included a nice shot of the WFAA tower,
complete with big glowing call sign, which was doubly awkward since
when they revamped the show from "HUB" to "LAX" they abandoned the
notion of a fictionalized DFW Airport *and* WFAA is a longtime ABC
affiliate.

The local media cameos I've been enjoying have been our local Fox4
anchors as pretty much themselves on "The Good Guys" plus local
alt-weekly "Dallas Observer" (the best source for coverage of the show
in the long run-up to broadcast) gave the show a number of DO
newspaper boxes which they have enjoyed trashing spectacularly. ('Dan'
took one out (along with a row of parking meters) with a car; I've
been assured that one gets blown to smithereens in a future episode.)
