Andy Denhart doesn't mention that sound I first heard accompanying Chef Ramsay's sternest glares on "Hell's Kitchen" and now seemingly on every other reality show, but he does point out that certain sounds and musical cues have become so cliched by overuse that they're just like a laugh track on a sitcom:
