Cablevision's one year offer, according to several reports, didn't include
Channel 9.

There were a ton of charges and counter-charges going around today. My
favorite was that all the Radio Shacks on Long Island are out of rabbit ear
antennas because Cablevision bought them all just after the dispute began.

A big problem will be Sunday's New York Jets game. While the Giants are
usually on Channel 5, the Jets are home against the Packers on FOX Sunday.
The Jets fanbase is largely based on Long Island - their practice facility
was at Hofstra University for decades - and many will be unable to see the
game.

The Jets are providing info for Long Island fans impacted by the blackout:

This is the Jets only game on FOX unless they make the Super Bowl.

A poll of subscribers had 28% blaming Cablevision, 25% blaming FOX, the rest
blaming both. Subscribers who have called and threatened to cancel their
Cablevision service are beginning to get small rebates for year long
contracts. A lawyer is now suing Cablevision because all subscribers are
supposed to get rebates if service paid for - like Channels 5 and 9 - are
not available for more than 24 hours.
