1) Rockefeller said, as an ad lib supplement to his prepared remarks: "I hunger for quality news. I'm tired of the right and the left. There's a little bug inside of me which wants to get the FCC to say to Fox and to MSNBC, "Out. Off. End. Goodbye." It'd be a big favor to political discourse, our ability to do our work here in Congress, and to the American people, to be able to talk with each other and have some faith in their government and, more importantly, in their future." I think it is pretty clear that he is not seriously suggesting that the federal government shut down either Fox or MSNBC, he is just saying what most thoughtful people say at least once a week. Nothing to see here, move along. 2) For now he calls it *"The (Not Really) Worst Person In The World*". Only about 9% (of his most loyal viewers) agreed with me that he should kill it. But again, this is distraction - what is troubling about Countdown has almost nothing to do with this segment 3) Ailes apologized for the Nazi crack to the head of the ADL (not clear if also to NPR) today: "This morning you might be receiving calls because I used the word 'Nazi attitudes' to describe the NPR officials who fired Juan Williams. I was of course ad-libbing and should not have chosen that word..." (followed by more Ailes crap ola). -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
