The points I think Rockefeller misses are that A) there's nothing right now, on TV or off, that prevents him from having civil dialogue with his opponents. The problem is that so few of the Republicans want to have that dialogue, preferring to throw sand in the wheels to stop any chance of Obama passing anything, and B) he sees Fox and MSNBC as two sides of the same coin, whereas Fox is an organ for/propaganda arm of Republican/right wing talking points and MSNBC, while liberal in some of its programming, isn't doing the same for the Democrats.
If he's upset with the things that Fox is broadcasting, he should take it up with the people on the other side of the aisle, since they're working from the same playbook. You'd be hard pressed to find Congressional Democrats who are either feeding or repeating stuff heard on MSNBC the way Fox and the GOP are in lockstep. --Dave Sikula On Nov 18, 11:01 am, "Kevin M." <[email protected]> wrote: > ... inasmuch as he wishes Congress could push the FCC to shut down > FoxNews and MSNBC. > > http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/11/18/senator-rockefeller-wants_n_... > > And whoever it was that said it was only a matter of time before Keith > brought back his "Worst Person" segment (he was able to contain his > inflammatory hyperbole for three weeks, minus two days of suspension), > guess who made Keith's list? > > http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/11/18/olbermann-rockefeller-end-ms... > > Oh, and not for nothing, but Roger Ailes thinks NPR is "the left wing > of Nazism," because as we all know the Nazis had a solid left wing. > > http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2010-11-17/fox-news-ch... > > Discuss. > -- > Kevin M.
