I don't hear much difference between the abc.com playback and what I'm used to hearing on the British stuff I've seen him on. I've never felt that northwest of England accents are that difficult for the average American; the letters are mostly still there (unlike, e.g., "Glezga"), the vowels aren't that different, and there isn't a sing-song quality to throw the listener off (which gives me trouble with understanding the Welsh at times.) (Confidential to ABC - having an ad that can't be stopped or muted that starts playing just for going to the video selection page is a very quick way to get me to decide that I'd rather close the page than select a video.) -- David J.
