While the fact that this came today is surprising, the fact that this day came is not. In the end I don't think any of the melodrama with Keith had much to do with politics - Olbermann is just a brilliant, unstable, courageous and narcissistic time bomb that must inevitably go off. There is only so much of that his superiors, of any kind, can take. He has carved out a really notable career in broad...er..cablecasting.
