First, why do you feel compelled to listen to him when he is on cable or
terrestrial radio? Just don't watch.
Second, ignoring the debatable claim that KO's political fan base qualifies
as lunatic fringe, you are missing the main point here. Olbermann as a
broadcaster is about a lot more than his politics. His meltdowns at MSNBC
were not primarily because of his politics, nor have they been limited in
his news career. At ESPN he was brilliant, but unable to play well with
others.
