The MLB Network badly under-uses Costas, so I am not sure what they would do with KO, but if it led them to come up with an interesting, weekly or nightly baseball talk+interview show that would be great. I should say here if I have not elsewhere how great Costas' recent show around the rediscovery of the 1960 Pirates Game 7 was. The Bing special that preceded it was interesting, but I thought could have been a little harder hitting. I can't believe the Goodman piece was really intended as a serious list of places for KO to land - it was more whimsical than that, and was closer to a list of the 10 things KO is least likely to do next. Assuming that to be the case, the fact that it did not list CNN strikes me as an argument that this is within the realm of possibility. It seems more likely than him going to Fox - especially if CNN can get a fairly high profile conservative to put on before or after him (or maybe in the same slot in alternating nights/weeks?). I guess David Brooks is not red meat enough for the true believers to count as a equivalent right wing voice to KO; if he were not in need of courting the Fox News audience for what seems almost sure to be another run at the GOP presidential nomination, I would like to see Huckabee take this role at CNN -- TV or Not TV ....
