In the real world, when something goes wrong with a facet of an
advertising campaign, the company drops the campaign and develops
another one. Aflac might have felt that there was more heat in finding
a new voice and continuing the campaign, but I wonder for how long. I
predict that once the novelty wears off and nobody remembers Gottfried
they will drop this whole campaign and move on to something else.
