Depends on what you mean by success on the Internet. (Honest, I'm not trying to be a smartass). The most successful example would be Justin Bieber, who started out by posting some videos on YouTube of himself singing and playing music. You know how that worked out. Like him or not, that was successful.
But if you mean performers who are successful online, and mostly only online, I'm not sure. I could suggest Kate Micucci who has successfully sold both her solo music and her duo, Garfunkel and Oates. Much of their success is online, with only some exposure on tv.
