One of the unexpected bonuses of belonging to an online community like this
over the years is how one can get to feel as if bits and pieces of the lives
of people never actually met are familiar and important. I'm sure most of us
here feel some connection to your parents from your many, but mostly brief,
mentions of them. In my family it is our custom to remember those we feel
connected to in our prayers when they are in unusual pain or challenge - we
will be remembering your mother, you and the rest of your family tonight.
