Funny man. Shortly before his death, Douglas Adams wrote a great essay about the stupidity of the average audience at a comedy club. He referenced Seinfeld's classic one liner, "If the black box is so indestructible, why don't they build the entire plane out of the black box?" Everybody has a good laugh, but nobody stops to ponder the lunacy of such a suggestion, the physics involved, the fact the weight of such a plane would prevent it from leaving the ground, etc. But everybody laughs because Seinfeld is right... those airplane designers are the ones with a screw loose. So, yeah, sometimes we have to suspend disbelief and ignore the truth to share a laugh, but when the laugh comes at the expense of a girl and her dead father, the laugh doesn't really work for me. -- Kevin M.
