But I think it is based on the assumption that most Netflix users (at least, most of those who have joined the service in the last 18 months or so) use it primarily for streaming, and will see the change as either forcing them to pay more for something they dont use very much, or opt out of it (discs) all together. Based on the response to this list that seems about right (most, though not all, posters here seem to use it more for streaming). I think it is a fair bet that the result of this change will be that a year from now Netflix will be shipping fewer films, and streaming more, than they are today. I should say that I am not critical of the price change - as the subject header of this thread suggests, since we joined Netflix we have felt that we were getting way more value than we were being charged for (especially last summer) and it always seemed unbelievable that things could continue that way for long. We joined Netflix because my son and I wanted to watch the last 5 seasons of Buffy online; I never would have joined just to access the discs by mail, so we have always seen them as an extra bonus supplementing the streaming service. -- TV or Not TV ....
