I think, much like "Children of Earth", they had a good idea for five hours
of television.  The problem was they had to fill 10.  The season premiere
was fine, the finale had its moments, loved the episodes about Angelo.  Take
the useful scraps from the other episodes (and lose Oswald, the most
disgusting storyline ever).  Just really disappointing.
