Not having watched much of this year's series and (being a Dodger fan) utterly ignoring last year's tragedy, I have no idea what "The Wash" is. Something to do with Ron Washington impersonators? Can you elaborate?
And, yes, as badly as Buck and McCarver suck, the radio is no decent alternative.
