Given what's shown on the show about the safety and insurance precautions taken, especially when explosions are involved, this is really stunning. The setup makes me think they anticipated no kickup potential, and/or there might have been some redirection of momentum at the range rather than stoppage. Factoring in the involvement of the sheriff's department (their facility, after all), and I have a hard time thinking this is anything but a fluke. This isn't Rocket City Rednecks... I would have expected those to pretty well make it impossible for a projectile to leave that area unless they were pretty cavalier about what direction it was traveling in relative to the horizontal. -- TV or Not TV ....
