All five of the MythBusters have taken to Twitter over the incident. My guess is that Adam and Jamie were the ones on site, but that's just a guess. Either way, they both toured the damage. Nothing official from Discovery.
http://twitter.com/jamienotweet - Jamie retweeted Adam's tweets on the subject, so it's your one-stop shop. http://twitter.com/donttrythis - The show's Twitter feed just retweeted Adam on the subject. The Build Team have had less to say on this. http://twitter.com/torybelleci http://twitter.com/grantimahara http://twitter.com/karibyron If you can read much into 140 character messages, they all seem genuinely freaked out by this. David ________________________________ From: David Bruggeman <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [TV orNotTV] Mythbusters mishap: House hit by cannonball Agreed. Given what's shown on the show about the safety and insurance precautions taken, especially when explosions are involved, this is really stunning. The setup makes me think they anticipated no kickup potential, and/or there might have been some redirection of momentum at the range rather than stoppage. Factoring in the involvement of the sheriff's department (their facility, after all), and I have a hard time thinking this is anything but a fluke. This isn't Rocket City Rednecks... I would have expected those to pretty well make it impossible for a projectile to leave that area unless they were pretty cavalier about what direction it was traveling in relative to the horizontal. -- TV or Not TV ....
