Most people were something else before they got into news. I actually might be less horrified at the idea of Seacrest serving as a news reader on Today than as one of the senior anchors. I would be even less horrified if he worked for several years in local news before going to Today (as Lauer did, before he hosted PM Magazine in New York). -- TV or Not TV ....
