I don't think NBC would want to tinker with the format like this, but I wouldn't be so opposed to a scenario where someone who's a little bit better at hard interviews co-hosts with Ann from 7-8 (I suppose Lester Holt would be the obvious choice among people already working for NBC), then Ryan co-hosts the 8:00 hour with Ann and either goes solo at 9 or co-hosts with Natalie Morales and/or Savannah Guthrie. -- David J.
