I dunno - there IS a Red Lobster in Manhattan, so it's not unthinkable that
the HIMYM gang could end up there.

For my money, the two most egregious examples of product placement were
both car related*:
1) from Heroes - any reference to a Nissan product ("BLUE NISSAN VERSA!
BLUE NISSAN VERSA!" or "The ROUGE? Oh daddy!")
2) from Alias - Sydney and Vaughn were chasing a Ford Mustang through a
parking structure, and one of them shouts "Take the F-150!" Not 'take that
pickup', 'take the F-150'. I'm surprised the writers didn't have Vaughn &
Sydney commenting on the optional extras or the ride quality during their
high speed chase.

*For obvious reasons, I'm excluding the "Knight Rider" reboot.

Granted, both of those shows were sponsored by the respective companies,
but still, they could have been smoother about integrating the product.
