NBC just went to The Voice at 7:20 PT. Costas said that Belichick was late coming out of the loser's lockeroom, and they could not wait because they had to go to The Voice. But my DVR indicated that The Voice was supposed to start at 7:30 - so what was the rush?
NBC did a great job covering this game. I did not watch the first 4 hours of the pregame, but the last 2 hours were not horrible, and Costas had a great interview with Brady that really set up the game as it played out. His interview with Madonna was actually not too bad either, all things considered. And, the best technical innovation in the coverage of the NFL in the last 15 years has got to be the pre-loaded graphic numbering the defenders when there are too many players on the field, instead of that horrible previous attempt to have the analyst circle them with his magic pen. Great game, great outcome, very good coverage - only feel bad I did not get to see the Patriots crying over their loss. ** -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
