I wonder if a larger studio might not be a test or adjustment for what
eventually will come at 11:30pm, assuming the networks still have any
interest in running a late night talk show after 2014 and assuming
Ferguson has any interest in the gig...

I'd think this is mistake for two reasons. One is part of the charm of
the show is its "small audience makes it seem more like these folks
snuck in to do a TV show" (like the early years of "LNwDL"). The
second is, I wonder if they'd be able to fill all those seats every
night. I suppose there are enough tourists desperate to see a TV show
that they could do it, but I get almost a cult vibe from the current
setup that I think would be diminished by people who just wandered
over from the Farmer's Market.

This should allow for easier changeouts for musical performances, right?
Currently they often aren't taped on the same day as the rest of the
(I'm looking forward to watching this week's Weird Al's appearance
via my DVR.)
There's a panel segment after the musical performance, which may mean
it was taped Thursday.
To the larger issue: I'm sure they'll adjust to a new studio, but I
wonder if they'll lose some intimacy in a bigger room.
