Not to defend her, but wasn't it during Host Chat, where supposedly the hosts don't discuss anything before they go on? That's what I thought the deal always was in the Reege years (and that Kelly hangs on to that today).
And, of course, the only reason Kathie Lee and Hoda are the fourth hour of "Today" is because if it was "Kathie Lee and Hoda" and produced by Entertainment, it would have to go up in the daytime ratings against "The View" and "Price is Right." Being part of NBC News' "Today" keeps the numbers in the early morning category and bolsters "Today"'s total rating, supposedly.
